Weird Lights in the Sky Over South Jersey Revealed as Elon Musk’s Starlink Satellites

Videos circulating on social media showing strange lights in the sky over South Jersey had some speculating that they might be UFOs. However, it has been confirmed that the lights were actually the result of Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

The videos captured what appeared to be a straight line of white lights hovering in the sky. But instead of extraterrestrial activity, the lights were identified as SpaceX’s Starlink satellites.

These satellites were launched late Friday night from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The Starlink satellites are a part of Elon Musk’s ambitious plan to create a global satellite internet network.

According to the SpaceX website, this particular mission was the fifth flight for the first stage booster supporting it. The same booster had previously been used for the Crew-6 and SES O3b mPOWER missions.

It is not uncommon for Starlink satellites to create such sightings, as they are designed to be visible from Earth. The satellites are positioned in low Earth orbit, allowing them to provide internet coverage to even the most remote areas of the planet.

While some may have hoped for extraterrestrial visitors, the truth behind the mysterious lights in the South Jersey sky was simply Elon Musk’s innovative satellite network.
