Tecno recently announced the Pova 5 series in India, unveiling the pricing details on August 14. The base variant, Tecno Pova 5, comes with a 6,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging support. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and is available for purchase at a price under Rs. 14,999. It will be competing with Infinix Note 30 5G, which offers features that justify its slightly higher price.
In terms of pricing, both smartphones fall under the Rs. 15,000 range. Tecno Pova 5 starts at Rs. 11,999 for the 16GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage. It comes in three color options – Amber Gold, Hurrican Blue, and Mecha Black. On the other hand, Infinix Note 30 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It is available in three colorways.
Moving on to the specifications, both smartphones feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, Tecno Pova 5 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and runs on Android 13-based HiOS skin, while Infinix Note 30 5G is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC and operates on Android 13-based XOS 13.
In terms of camera capabilities, Tecno Pova 5 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an AI lens, accompanied by an LED flash. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel front camera. In contrast, Infinix Note 30 5G boasts a triple rear camera configuration with a 108-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an AI lens. It features a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.
As for battery, Infinix Note 30 5G houses a 5,000mAh cell with support for 45W fast charging. Tecno Pova 5, on the other hand, comes with a larger 6,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging support. Both smartphones offer 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
