Spire Global Unveils Constellation Management Platform for Simplified Satellite Operations

Spire Global, Inc. has introduced the Constellation Management Platform, a web-based app designed to streamline satellite constellation operations with its user-friendly interface. The platform’s development has received co-funding of EUR1.5 million from the European Space Agency (ESA) under the ARTES Core Competitiveness (CC) Programme. Additionally, support from the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) has been instrumental in its creation.

The Constellation Management Platform is the latest offering from Spire Space Services, providing customers with an end-to-end solution for the development, launch, and operation of their own satellite constellations. Spire’s Space as a Service missions offer standardized services that cater to a diverse range of use cases including Earth observation, connectivity, radio frequency intelligence, and space domain awareness. This approach facilitates a faster and more straightforward process for customers seeking to deploy satellites and scale their constellations.

Historically, satellite constellation operations have been complex and required significant resources, often involving an entire team to operate the satellites around the clock. Leveraging over a decade of experience in managing larger multi-payload satellite constellations, Spire has developed automated and optimized operations, enabling companies to operate their satellites with just one person and a laptop.

The Constellation Management Platform provides users with a direct connection to their satellites, allowing them to task, schedule, and monitor every aspect of their payload, data, fleet health, and mission planning through an intuitive interface. Customers can also access the platform through a Spire API. This platform is available to customers utilizing Spire’s Space Services for satellite development, launch, and operation, as well as those seeking to simplify and improve the operations of their existing constellations.
