Sidus Space, a multi-faceted Space and Data-as-a-Service company, has signed an additional agreement to sell the data that it expects to collect with its LizzieSat satellites. The company is expecting to collect data through multiple onboard sensors and receivers, including hyperspectral, multispectral, AIS, optical, and other sensors. This data will be relevant to multiple industries and sectors. With the application of onboard FeatherEdge AI, near real-time, actionable intelligence will also be available to customers.
The delivery of data is set to begin 30 days after the deployment of LizzieSat, which is scheduled to launch with SpaceX in the first quarter of 2024. Sidus plans to build its LizzieSat constellation over the next few years and is focused on securing additional contracts for its Low Earth Orbit data. The company expects Data-as-a-Service to provide high margins in its revenue streams, along with technology hosting and hardware manufacturing.
