Clues About Israel’s Push Into Gaza Strip

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country’s military leadership have been tight-lipped about Israel’s push into the Gaza Strip. Satellite imagery and social media posts, however, are providing some clues about Israeli forces’ movements and the overall strategy of their campaign aimed at destroying Hamas.

Based on available satellite images and social media posts, it appears that Israeli forces have encircled Gaza City, likely in preparation for prolonged operations. They seem to be at the edge of Gaza City along three axes – two from the north and one from the southeast that has moved across the entire Gaza Strip.

The axis south of Gaza City has covered the most ground in the first week. Eyewitness videos showed an Israeli tank engaging a civilian vehicle on one of the main north-south roads between Gaza City and the southern parts of the strip.

High-resolution satellite imagery taken on October 31 revealed around two-dozen Israeli armored vehicles stationed near the road, presumably to control access.

It is important to note that this information is based on available imagery and social media posts. Israeli authorities have not provided detailed information about their operations in Gaza.
