Qualcomm Technologies and JLR have announced a partnership to bring 5G capabilities to select next-generation JLR vehicles. This collaboration aims to support advanced and integrated digital cockpit and infotainment systems, enhancing the modern luxury experience for drivers and passengers.

With the Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF from Qualcomm Technologies, JLR vehicles will have efficient and seamless connectivity, enabling direct and low-latency communication with other vehicles and the surrounding infrastructure. This will contribute to safer driving experiences and provide real-time data for new connected-car services and higher levels of autonomy.

The collaboration builds upon the longstanding relationship between Qualcomm Technologies and JLR, both of whom strive to provide the latest capabilities to future vehicles using Snapdragon Automotive platforms. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis technology suite, consisting of the Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF system, will power immersive in-vehicle and always-connected driving experiences with ultra-high speeds and ultra-low latency.
