American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a public policy think tank, has announced the opening of a satellite office in Washington, D.C. The group has outgrown its current headquarters at 1789 Massachusetts Avenue NW and has signed a lease for a 27,581-square-foot space at 11 Dupont Circle NW, located just two blocks away.
AEI purchased its headquarters building for $36.5 million ten years ago and recently completed an $80 million renovation, expanding the property from 72,000 to approximately 100,000 square feet. The new office location is owned by RMR Group and offers various amenities including a tenant lounge, fitness center, conference center, bike storage room, and courtyard.
Newmark, a real estate services company, facilitated the lease on behalf of the owner. The decision to open a satellite office was driven by AEI’s need for expansion and the attractive features offered by the new location. The state-of-the-art amenities and convenient proximity to AEI’s headquarters at Dupont Circle made it an ideal choice.
AEI is known for its dedication to defending human dignity, expanding human potential, and building a freer and safer world. The think tank focuses on public policy research and analysis. The lease negotiations were handled by representatives from Newmark and Cushman & Wakefield.
With the opening of the new satellite office, AEI aims to accommodate its growing workforce and better serve its mission. The expansion reflects the organization’s continued commitment to its core values and the pursuit of its goals.
