Man Killed in Semi Crash on Interstate 84 in Jerome County

A 64-year-old man from Kuna died in a tragic accident on Saturday in Jerome County, Idaho. The man was driving a semi truck pulling a trailer on westbound Interstate 84 near milepost 194 when the incident occurred. Idaho State Police (ISP) reported that the semi collided with a guardrail, causing it to overturn and come to a rest on the opposite side of the interstate.
Unfortunately, the man’s identity has not been released to the public at this time. ISP is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
As a result of the accident, the right lane of Interstate 84 has been blocked off. The Idaho Transportation Department is working to repair the bridge but has not provided a date for its reopening. Additionally, the frontage road in the area has been closed to allow for the safe recovery of the overturned truck by emergency crews.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to remain vigilant while on the road. It is crucial for all motorists to follow traffic laws and exercise caution to help prevent accidents and protect themselves and others.
