Newly-opened rooftop spot Satellite Bar has recently announced its partnership with local nonprofit organization Pay it Forward Charleston. The collaboration comes just days after Satellite Bar held its grand opening celebration on King Street.
Pay it Forward Charleston is dedicated to providing emergency assistance in the form of grants to members of the local food and beverage community. The organization was established during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since expanded its reach to partner with various local organizations, including Satellite Bar.
As part of its rebranding efforts, Satellite Bar now features live music on the rooftop every weekend. Local artists Phillip Blackstone and John Paris entertain guests on Saturdays and Sundays respectively, with set times of 2 pm to 6 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
During the month of September, guests attending Satellite Bar’s Sunday concert series will have the opportunity to purchase the original Pressure Drop cocktail. This refreshing beverage is made with lavender-infused vodka and blueberry lemonade, and 100% of the proceeds from its sales will be donated to Pay it Forward Charleston.
Heather Greene, Director of Operations at Stars and Satellite Bar, as well as a partner at Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar and Rudy Royale, expressed her excitement about the partnership. She stated that the mission of Pay it Forward Charleston resonated with her from the very beginning, and she is thrilled to contribute to their important work in the community.
Satellite Bar can be found at 495 King Street. For updates on upcoming events and offerings, you can visit their website at @satellitebarchs.
