Honor is gearing up to launch the Honor 90 5G in India on September 14. This smartphone was previously released in China back in May. The Indian variant will have similar specifications as its Chinese counterpart. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC and will come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. The official product page on the Honor India website has already gone live, revealing additional details.
The Honor 90 5G India variant is expected to be available in colors such as Diamond Silver, Emerald Green, Midnight Black, and Peacock Blue. According to the Amazon microsite, the phone will have different RAM and storage options. It will be available in variants such as 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. The listing also suggests that the handset will support vRAM expansion of up to 7GB.
Running on Android 13-based Magic OS 7.1, the Honor 90 5G India variant will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (2664 x 1200 pixels). The display will have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness level of 1,600 nits.
In terms of the camera setup, the Honor 90 5G will have a triple rear camera system, consisting of a 200-megapixel primary sensor with Honor Image Engine support, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. The front camera, housed in a center-aligned hole-punch cutout, will sport a 50-megapixel sensor.
The phone will come with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging via a USB Type-C port. According to Honor, the device can run up to 20 hours of local 720p videos. It will also support 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS connectivity.
The price of the Honor 90 5G in India is expected to be around Rs. 35,000.
