Pasternack Expands Range of Voltage-Controlled Phase Shifters

Pasternack, a leading provider of RF and microwave components, has announced the expansion of its voltage-controlled phase shifter lineup with 15 new models. This launch includes eight analog attenuators, covering a frequency range from 0.5GHz to 33GHz, as well as seven programmable phase shifters with 5-bit or 6-bit TTL logic control, covering a range of 1GHz to 37GHz.

Voltage-controlled phase shifters are essential components in RF and microwave systems, as they allow for the manipulation of the transmission phase angle of an input signal. They find applications in various industries, including RADAR, communications, and amplifiers.

These new phase shifters from Pasternack are designed with reliability and ruggedness in mind, featuring MIL-grade coaxial packages that can operate within a temperature range of -40C to +85C (-40F to +185F). The analog models come with solder control pins for manual voltage control, while the TTL programmable models offer micro-D 9-pin or 15-pin connectors for command control.

Moreover, these phase shifters are specifically engineered to meet environmental test conditions for altitude, vibration, humidity, and shock. This ensures their suitability for applications in electronic defense, microwave radio, VSAT, SATCOM, radar, space systems, 5G, research and development, and airborne and ground-based applications.

Kevin Hietpas, product line manager at Pasternack, explains that the wide frequency bands and diverse control options of these new phase shifters allow the company to meet the needs of a wider range of customers across various industries. With a commitment to quality and innovation, the expansion of the product range reinforces Pasternack’s position as a leading provider of high-quality RF and microwave components.
