Cunard Ships to Offer SpaceX’s Starlink Wi-Fi Service

Cunard has announced plans to introduce SpaceX’s Starlink wi-fi service on its fleet of ships. By the end of 2023, the three existing ships, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Mary, will have access to the high-speed connectivity provided by Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite technology. The upcoming vessel, Queen Anne, set to sail in May 2024, will also offer this service.

The implementation of Starlink began in June 2023, and the service is expected to be available in both public spaces and staterooms on the Cunard ships. This will allow guests and crew to enjoy reliable and fast internet access while onboard. They will be able to share photos and videos, stream films, and access other online content.

Carnival UK president, Paul Ludlow, expressed the importance of staying connected during holidays and the convenience that Starlink will bring. Guests and crew will be able to easily share unforgettable moments with friends and family back home, as well as stay updated with news, live events, and content from their home countries.

Starlink’s vice president of commercial sales, Jonathan Hofeller, highlighted the significance of high-speed internet in today’s modern lifestyle. He expressed excitement that Cunard guests and crew will benefit from an improved Wi-Fi service worldwide.

With the introduction of SpaceX’s Starlink, Cunard aims to enhance the overall experience for its passengers and ensure that they can stay connected with their loved ones and the world during their voyage.
