RAiTEK LTD. Inc. (RAiTEK) has chosen Avalanche Technology’s Space Grade Persistent SRAM (P-SRAM) products for their satellite-based storage systems. As part of their data storage and processing solutions for the space industry, RAiTEK will be using a 16Mb device from Avalanche’s Gen 2 Space Grade family to monitor data stream status, and a 1Gb Gen 3 Space Grade for large configuration images for the onboard FPGA.
Avalanche’s Space Grade P-SRAM products were selected for their scalability and mission adaptability, which are crucial for satellite network providers looking for common hardware platforms. RAiTEK conducted a trade study of potential memory solutions and found that Avalanche’s products met their requirements for radiation resilience, high-reliability, high-density, and nearly unlimited write cycle endurance.
RAiTEK CEO, Tom Hsiao, stated that Avalanche’s disruptive MRAM solutions, when combined with advanced processing hardware, allow them to provide scalable and SWaP-optimized platforms for their customers. This enables responsive and enduring mission adaptability.
Danny Sabour, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Avalanche Technology, mentioned that their Space Grade P-SRAM family has been recognized as a game-changing solution for satellite architectures. He expressed delight in supporting the growing Asian space community through their partnership with RAiTEK.
Avalanche’s Space Grade MRAMs are offered in different density options and are designed for high-reliability with multi-bit error correction and industry-leading 10^16 write cycle endurance. The devices have a small footprint packaging and an extended operating temperature range. They go through rigorous qualification processes before being shipped to customers.
Avalanche Technology is a leader in next-generation Perpendicular STT-MRAM technology, with a portfolio of over 300 patents and applications. RAiTEK, based in Taiwan, provides satellite services and products for data storage, processing, and imaging.
