Hughes Communications India (HCI) will be deploying its Managed Dual LTE/4G high-availability solution for two leading cement companies, ACC and Ambuja Cement Limited. This managed service from HCI will provide a diverse path backup to the SDWAN network implemented by ACC and Ambuja Cement in their manufacturing units. The goal of this deployment is to improve network reliability in order to support critical business processes and applications.
HCI will offer a turnkey solution, which includes setup, installation, and support for all sites. The solution will consist of 2Mbps LTE/4G links from different telecommunications companies, with automatic failover between the LTE links. The customer premise equipment will be equipped with two independent LTE ports and modules that support major routing and security protocols. In the event of a primary network failure, the HCI solution will ensure connectivity for critical business applications such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), voice, and internet access.
Additionally, HCI’s solution will provide a user-friendly reporting interface, allowing customers to have a clear view of their network, devices, and user activities through a single dashboard. This will enable seamless network setup, change management, and help desk support.
Shivaji Chatterjee, President and MD of HCI, expressed excitement to work with ACC Ltd and Ambuja Cement, supporting their digital transformation efforts. HCI’s suite of managed services includes managed secure LTE, managed broadband, and SD-WAN with ZTP (Zero Touch Provisioning). They also provide an online portal that offers visibility across all network elements.
HCI is known for offering a portfolio of managed services and provisioning services to over 30,000 enterprise locations in sectors such as banking, retail, energy, and petroleum. The company specializes in multiple broadband transports, including LTE and VSAT. HCI was recognized as the Best Managed Services Provider in the 2023 ET Telecom Awards.
